Gray’s Lark

Identification:

Palest lark in the region and without any distinctive markings. A small, plain, pale lark with a fairly long, stout bill.

Habitat:

Sparsely vegetated desert gravel plains.

Behaviour:

Usually in small groups.

Diet:

Invertebrates and seeds.

Breeding:

Monogamous. Builds a cup nest on the ground, often shaded and sheltered by a stone or grass tuft.
