Dear Crane Friends

Hope this finds you well! This issue brings you an update of crane news in Namibia.

The results for our latest aerial/ground survey (March 2015) have given us a total of 17 Blue Cranes, and only one chick. Hopefully the dry-season counts later in the year will be a bit higher.

Our trusty team of crane supporters has done a sterling job of keeping us posted on sightings throughout the year, and from this we are able to piece together a mosaic of crane movements. Well done and thank you for these sightings!

Thank you all for your ongoing interest, support and concern for crane conservation. We would also like to thank all our donors for their generous contributions, in particular the Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) Namibia for generous funding over the past three years; and the Hessische Gesellschaft für Ornithologie und Naturschutz e.V. (HGON) in Germany and their partners, Mathias Stein and Barbara Hudec.

Best wishes

Ann & Mike
